Join usfor the inaugural Lunch for LA! This first installment of our new salon series will tackle a pressing question: What can we do from Los Angeles to defend democracy?

At a moment when authoritarian threats have become our reality, we need space to strategize together. This will be a truly interactive conversation – we are going to be figuring out together how to move forward.

We’ll hear from community organizing networks and political strategists about how to win Prop 50, how to build unlikely coalitions against authoritarian breakthrough, and how to support groups in key 2026 election battlegrounds.



A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2025, our goal is to raise 80% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
