LA Forward Institute Working Groups

Our working groups are where everyday Angelenos come together to build power and make change happen from the ground up. They are spaces to connect more deeply with the issues, learn by doing, and take strategic action.

Don’t worry, there’s no experience needed. You just need a commitment to building a more fair, flourishing Los Angeles for everyone. You'll find opportunities to connect with your neighbors, meet with elected officials, plug into campaigns, and be part of a community that’s working to pass policy that makes Los Angeles a more equitable place to live. A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2025, our goal is to raise 80% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
