AQMD 101: A Teach-in with LA Forward Institute's Climate Justice Group

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) is an incredibly powerful 13-member air quality regulatory agency that has jurisdiction over a vast region that’s home to 17 million people — nearly half of California’s total population: most of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. As we continue to advocate for climate justice in Southern California, we cannot exclude this entity from our advocacy. May Monthly Meeting

A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2025, our goal is to raise 80% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
