LA City Council District 2 will elect a successor to current Councilmember Paul Krekorian in 2024. Join LAFI community leaders and coalition partners as they get to know the candidates at this non-endorsing, non-partisan virtual candidate forum held by LA Forward Institute. City Council candidates must collect at least 500 signatures from district residents beginning mid-September in order to qualify to run, so now is the time for interested volunteers to get to know who they want to support and why. A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2024, our goal is to raise 70% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
