LAST CHANCE TO PUSH POLICE REFORM AT CHARTER COMMISSION

This Thursday, March 5th, LA's City Charter Commission has devoted its entire meeting to discussing whether or not to pass any of 13 police reforms onto City Council, as part of the commission's recommendations for city charter reform. In particular, there is a real threat of the City Charter Commission moving to create a different commission altogether to punt all of these reforms too -- a separate commission that could take years to set up and have any impact. We don't have time to wait. Come learn more about the reforms on the Commission's desk, and how you can advocate to push the City Charter Commission to send police reform proposals to City Council.
