In 2024, LA County voters passed Measure G, which approved multiple county-level reforms, including establishing the most powerful elected position in LA County: an Elected Executive leading a county of 10 million people.
Residents can still influence how this Elected Executive position is constituted: How will its powers relate to those of the Board of Supervisors? How it will interact with the budget process? How will it be different from the non-Elected Executive that the County already has? A Measure G Task Force will recommend answers to the these questions to the Board of Sueprvisors by end of September -- and if we, the public, have things to say, we have to start saying them now. Join us for this teach-in and organizing call to ensure public voice weighs in to these critical questions. RSVP here or below.
