At LA Forward, we spent much of 2026 advocating for various reforms to the City Charter including a number of police accountability reforms. While our police reform did not make it to the ballot this year, there will be upcoming opportunities to work with the city on accountability for the largest and most expensive department. 

Join our first Police Accountability Working Group meeting to explore advocacy opportunities around police liabilities, a better governance structure for police policy decisions, and the upcoming police contract negotiations.
